MAKING GOD PROUD
Psalm 37:4;

 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart".[AMP]_
One of the numerous ways of receiving special attention from God is to make him proud. We are able to gain God's attention if we do the very things that will make Him feel pleased. Thus, we should standout from among the many people. To standout means to be exceptional or noteworthy.
The psalmist said,
 Psalm 106:3; "Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are those who observe justice [treating others fairly] and who do right and are in right standing with God at all times".
This means if we are able to do what pleases God, He will assure us of His reward.
To be proud of someone means you are glad or happy about their accomplishments. So its like what we will do will determine whether God will be pleased or not.
In Job 1:8, God was pleased with Job for being faithful to Him; and God want to be proud of us as well.
When we live our lives the way we please, not fulfilling God's purpose,He won't be pleased with us: rather He will be disappointed. Example is recorded in the old testament when God regretted in making Saul a king over His people [1 Samuel 15:11].
On the other hand, if we do what pleases God, He will be pleased with us as well [2 Peter 1:17-18].
We can't  achieve this without faith. We must have confidence in what we hope for. [Hebrews 11:1]. Faith is fundamental when it comes to making God proud of us. Hebrews 11:5; _"By faith Enoch was taken from this life,.... For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God"._ We should trust God and have confidence in Him.
Also, we must live the Christ-life. In Job chapter one, God praised Job in the presence of Satan because Job had lived a life that was noteworthy. He always had a strong desire to be in good standing with God [ Job 1:5].
We have been rescued already and brought into God's kingdom [ Colossians 1:13]; therefore we must regulate our lives and conduct ourselves in conformity to God: rooted in Him, strengthened in the faith and overflowing with thankfulness [ Colossians 2:6-7].
Even in crisis, we should prove to God how we yearn to make Him proud. We shouldn't make Him regret on saving us.  Though, we are in constant warfare as Christians but we must live our lives like the one who rescued us from darkness into His light [ Ephesians 4:23-24]. Therefore, we should make it our goal to please God all the time [ 2 Cor 5:9].
It doesn't matter the circumstances of life, we should make God proud of us, by living His life on earth and having confidence in Him. He will make sure our needs are met with abundant Grace.
Amen.

The unending battle before Christians

UNENDING BATTLING AGAINST THE DEVIL AS CHRISTIANS.  Battling the enemy is part of our Christian lives. We are constantly at war with the devil; always trying to pull us down__(Ephesians 6:12). But we are encouraged to stand firm in the Lord and to put on the full armor of God. Many are the afflictions that will befall us as followers of Christ and we are to win over them. Physical battles are fought with physical missiles while spiritual battles are fought spiritually. As a believer, anytime you fight your enemy physically he sees you as a loser because you are without a weapon. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 says, For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ(NKJV). The weapons we use as Christ...

To be afraid, is to be surrounded with fear. Fear is an uncontrollable or unpleasant emotion or feeling caused by an actual or perceived danger or threat. Fear is a spirit __2 Timothy 1:7 ; it can intimidate and deters you from achieving your objectives. The moment fear overtakes or controls you, you become prone to making mistakes or failing to arrive at your goal. After the death of Moses, God installed Joshua as the new leader to lead the Israelites to cross the Jordan river. _But how ready was he? I believe Joshua became timid upon the death of Moses, and also receiving the appointment to lead the people of Israel: b...
